Bimeshwor Photo Activity

We planned to hold the same photo activity with Bimeshwor Youth Group as we did with Mehele, but the youth showed up late which meant we had less time and less light in which to run the activity. Where Mehele split into three groups to take pictures, Bimeshwor split into just two, and only my group remembered to adjust ISO for low light conditions. So this slideshow will be much shorter than the last.

Before I share the pictures with you, I want to quickly list the problems they are meant to show. Stop me if you’ve heard this before.

One, the village’s lack of water. Two, the village’s lack of toilets. Three, inexperience with organic forms of agriculture. Four, the problem of children skipping school. The list sounds very similar to the problems presented by Mehele, which is unsurprising given that they are both part of Sundrawoti. The pictures themselves are a bit more participatory, though, than the ones the kids took up top:
